I brought a group of friends to Atlantis Dumaguete for a week, then boarded the Adventurer for another week. As usual the resort was impeccably maintained, the rooms were gorgeous, the food and drinks were outstanding, and the staff was like family. The diving within 5 minutes of this resort is still some of the best I've seen.

Atlantis Dumaguete dive trip I spent a week diving with Atlantis Dumaguete and had an incredible experience! The detailed information I received from resort staff before I arrived helped me to have a smooth arrival, and then I was met for a very personalized welcome meeting to introduce me to the resort and its amenities. The staff knew my name from day one and the level of service was outstanding. My stay included breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and every meal I had was delicious. At lunch and dinner, each person gets to choose a starter, one of four entree options, and dessert. The food is high quality, fresh, and flavorful. I especially enjoyed the fresh fish dishes. The restaurant has a beautiful ocean-front view.
The dive operation was very well-run. I appreciated the small groups and that I was assigned the same dive guide all week. Most of the time, I only had 2 or 3 other people in my group, but never more than 5. My guide, Darryl, was fantastic at pointing out the small creatures on the reef. Most dives included a component of muck diving along with some reef diving. The diversity of wildlife was outstanding, and we saw creatures such as flamboyant cuttlefish, wunderpus, frogfish, pipefish, sea kraits, scorpionfish, turtles, and much more. The week also included a day trip to dive at Apo Island, which was a vibrant reef. The Apo Island day included lunch cooked on the boat. I also did some of their specialty night dives, including the blackwater dive and the fluorescent dive. Both of these were unique experiences that I would recommend every diver at Atlantis try. I really liked how many dives were offered (up to 5 per day), and it felt like being on a liveaboard but on land. Atlantis has a nice camera room and ample storage for gear (and the guides bring all dive gear to the boat each day for you).
My dive trip to Atlantis Dumaguete was definitely among my top dive trips. I was so impressed by both the dive operation side and the resort side. I plan to return here in the future, and I certainly encourage any serious diver to strongly consider a trip to Atlantis Dumaguete. You won't be disappointed.

If your idea of a great vacation includes amazing scuba diving, delicious food and drinks, incredible spa, lovely accommodations, and wonderful on-site management, all of which is delivered by truly kind people – this is the place for you. I stayed for 12 days in late Oct-Nov 2025 and enjoyed every moment. I really can’t say enough positive things about this resort. I have traveled to many land-based resorts and liveaboards for scuba diving, and this is my #1 favorite place.
This is primarily a muck diving location, which I have learned to appreciate for its fascinating critters that are not easily found elsewhere. The dive sites are literally 3 to 10 minutes from the resort. The dive staff are experienced and know how to find almost anything that exists in these waters. On one dive, someone asked to see a thorny seahorse, flamboyant cuttlefish, and mimic octopus --- all of which our dive master found. Of course, they can’t guarantee what can be seen on a given dive, but they pour everything into pleasing their divers. I also appreciate their attention to safety; they take excellent care of their small dive groups. The resort offers day trips to see whale sharks at a nearby island along with other special diving opportunities.
Their food is fresh and delicious, with a full-menu breakfast and multiple choices for plated lunches and dinners (including starter, main course, and dessert). The flavors and variety are excellent. I lost 6 lbs on my 12 day visit even though I felt like I ate a lot.
I tried almost every service the spa offers and they were all superb.
I also have to compliment the restaurant and bar staff, housekeeping, groundskeepers, and front desk staff – each person is quite personal and they all become familiar with your name on the first day.
Last word is a shoutout to the resort’s management – they are always available and interested in their guest’s experience. Kudos to this resort!

Atlantis Dumaguete - Great experience, highly recommend We came to Atlantis Dumaguete for our annual club diving trip. We formed the group 6 years ago (we’re from NJ) and this is the first time we went on a long overseas trip.
It was an amazing experience. Every part of the resort had fantastic service. The diving - and dive operation - were absolutely top notch. Our guides were Alfred and Genie. Alfred was great, made sure all of us were comfortable, and Genie is a genuine legend. We’ve never been muck diving before and now we’re hooked on the amazing and crazy stuff we saw.
We did the day trip to Apo island. Even though the day started out rainy, the team made sure we had a great time and the first dive we did there was one of my top 10 ever. The BBQ lunch was also a real highlight.
The team took great care of us and our equipment, making the entire experience very relaxing and a great vacation.
The spa had wonderful services. The food was really good and the dining team super friendly, accommodating, and helpful.
The management team knew our names from the start and made us feel very welcome. Their slogan is “come as guests, leave as friends” and they really loved up to it.

Beautiful Resort, Outstanding Staff My husband and I were recent guests at Atlantis Dive Resort in Dumaguete. We had a wonderful experience. The staff were amazing.
I had been working with Marco over the telephone from the U.S. and had a great working experience with him. He answered all our questions, gave good information and we felt very supported. We appreciated his coming out to meet us at arrival. It shows the extra touch the staff extends.
Nina, the resort manager, was extremely helpful and made sure we were comfortable and enjoying our stay. We were overwhelmed with great service by all the staff members in the restaurant, the spa and the dive center. The food was gourmet. I had a marvelous hot stone massage! I enjoyed my mocha every morning decorated beautifully by the talented barista!
My husband loved his dive board experience. It was a bucket list adventure for him and it exceeded his expectations. His dive masters were incredible and he raved about the food on the boat.
The resort is lovely, right on the beach. Our room was Oceanside and I loved hearing the ocean waves and watching the activity of the divers going out for their dives. The room was very clean and comfortable.
We are extremely pleased with our Atlantis Dive Resort experience and their amazing staff! We highly recommend this resort and would love to go back!

This resort is wonderful for a scuba trip. The diving itself is pretty good, not spectacular and could have more variety, but the dive masters were terrific - informed, skillful, friendly and hard working. The staff at the resort were 100% service oriented and every one did a terrific job. I was in a group of 15 and they knew everyone's name by the first day. The food was uniformly excellent, every meal was amazing. I would definitely return.

COME FOR THE DIVING… Stay for the hospitality This small resort is top notch. The dive masters are very knowledgeable. Genie was mine . He is funny and found so many fish for me: FROG, ghost, pipe, cuttle, and so many types of shrimp, crabs and eels. The boats are easy to get on and off. The food is delicious and there are a lot of varieties. The rooms are large and beds comfortable. I got several massages at the spa from Cute. The hot stone was my favorite. The staff is happy, fun and greet you by name. Daily you are greeted by the managers Nina, Cedric, Junnar and Albert. They advertise 5 dives a day and I did them all!! I hope to return someday.

Amazing Group Dive Trip I led a group of scuba Divers to the Atlantis Dive Resort Sept.27, 2025. We spent 10 days at the resort, diving 9 of the days and many did the Oslob Whale shark snorkel our last day. From our arrival till our departure on Oct. 7th the staff made us all feel safe and welcome. We all felt that everyone was truly happy to have us visit the resort. It was obvious that the staff felt the resort was their home and they were proud to be part of the Atlantis family.
The grounds are designed to be tropical with beautiful and well-kept landscaping and grounds keepers. Every day I saw the friendly ground staff busy cleaning the walkways and plants. The Office staff and resorts Management were always available to check if there were any problems with our stay.
The restaurant staff and food were top notch with amazing choices and always available for special requests. King is an amazing Barista that stunned us with his art on our Lattes each morning. The seating in the restaurant was easily arranged to accommodate our group, so no one felt left out. The meals arrived quickly and changed daily. We were always offered a variety of fish and vegetarian meals with glutton free on request. The biggest problem with the restaurant is the probability of gaining weight when you arrive home.
The dive facility is clean and professional. There is a very nice and large charging area for cameras. The classroom is well set up and air conditioned. The set up for checking your tanks, including your nitrox is professional and well run. The cleaning tanks are kept well cleaned with the water kept fresh by staff. There are two freshwater showers in the cleaning area that serviced all divers very well. Everyone had cubbies and hanging area for their gear. Everyday a fresh beach towel was added to the cubby. The staff was very careful in handling our equipment and each morning I found it set up on my tanks perfect. I am very OCD about my gear and its set up and I felt very secure with how the Atlantis staff handled and set up my gear.
The dive sites were short boat rides from the resort. The Dive Masters all developed excellent repours with my divers and addressed any issues professionally. All my divers developed close trust with the DM’s assigned to them and everyone gave me good comments on their Dive Master’s, and no one requested a change from their assigned Dive Master.
In conclusion, when diving in the Philippines I will always use Atlantis Dive Resorts in Puerto Galera or Dumaguete and their liveaboards. You can depend on them for 5-star treatment at a reasonable rate. They provide everything needed for a fun and safe visit to an amazing dive destination.
